Origins & Character

A resort shaped by vineyards, river trade and evening ritual

The concept for Harvest Anchor began with the meeting point between agricultural landscapes and historic river ports. Inland, vineyards and fields follow the seasons. At the quay, goods, stories and travellers arrive. By evening, the practical world gives way to dining, music and conversation.

The entrance opens into Anchor Hall, a carefully divided space using walnut, cream stone and warm metal to create smaller zones. From there, guests can reach the casino, dining promenade, theatre, wellness level and guest lifts without crossing unnecessary congestion.

The casino floor is divided into districts using ceiling form, floor pattern, furniture and lighting rather than barriers. This makes it easier to identify social tables, quieter electronic gaming, premium areas and service points on a first visit.

The harvest references are contemporary rather than rustic. Linear details suggest rows of vines, grain stores and mooring ropes, while materials remain polished: walnut, cream stone, brushed metal, olive textiles and ribbed glass.

Casino Floor

Classic games, clear limits and a richly composed setting

The main floor offers European roulette, blackjack, baccarat and selected poker-style games. Blackjack minimums typically begin at €10 during quieter periods, with €15 and €25 levels more common during busy evenings.

Approximately 440 gaming positions include classic reels, video slots, multi-denomination games and electronic roulette terminals. Machines are arranged in curved groups with comfortable spacing and clear circulation.

The Vintage Salon is an invitation-led private area with four table games, dedicated hosting and a compact dining menu. Access depends on capacity, identification checks and hosting policies.

Selected afternoons may include introductory demonstrations using non-cash chips. These explain etiquette, probabilities and house advantage rather than promising systems.

Dining

Restaurants inspired by vineyard country and the river quay

Vintage & Flame is the formal restaurant, centred on French technique, seasonal produce and precise wine pairing. A typical menu might include cured trout, roasted beetroot, duck with cherry, beef cooked over charcoal and a restrained pear dessert.

Quay House offers a more relaxed grill menu with polished service. The kitchen may serve steak tartare, grilled prawns, roast chicken, lamb cutlets, mushrooms and a large rib steak for two.

Harvest Room serves breakfast through late evening. Morning service includes bakery, eggs, fruit, yoghurt and coffee. Later, the menu shifts to salads, pasta, grilled fish, sandwiches and a substantial burger.

Anchor Bar overlooks the central hall and specialises in cocktails, alcohol-free aperitifs and small plates. The signature Late Vintage combines cognac, plum and bitters.

Live performance in a warm, beautifully tuned room

Anchor Theatre seats approximately 880 guests and uses curved balconies to bring the audience closer to the stage. Acoustic materials are integrated behind walnut and textured panels.

The programme may include touring bands, vocal performances, contemporary dance, comedy and short-run productions. Weekend evenings tend to carry the largest shows.

Doors generally open forty-five minutes before showtime. Age guidance, recording rules, running times and accessibility information are confirmed for each event.

The adjoining Lantern Cellar hosts smaller acoustic sets, wine-led talks and late-night performances before and after the main show.

Practical Planning

What to know before arrival

Smart casual clothing is suitable across most of the resort. Formal dining rooms and selected VIP events may encourage a more polished style.

Typical check-in begins at 15:00 and check-out is by 11:00. Early arrival and late departure depend on occupancy and may involve a fee.

Gaming areas are restricted to adults who meet the legal minimum age. Government-issued photographic identification may be requested.

Set a spending and time limit before entering the casino. Do not gamble with borrowed money or treat gambling as income.

Wellness & Slow Hours

A quieter side of the resort, shaped by landscape and season

The wellness level gives guests a deliberate counterpoint to the theatre, restaurants and casino floor. Its atmosphere is cooler, softer and more private, with an emphasis on recovery rather than spectacle.

The Millstone Spa

The Millstone Spa uses warm limestone, oak screens and low lighting to create a grounded environment. Treatment rooms are acoustically separated from the circulation areas, and appointments are spaced to avoid the feeling of a busy corridor. The menu may include restorative massage, facial treatments, body exfoliation and shorter shoulder or foot therapies suited to guests with limited time. Products are selected for clear ingredient information and restrained fragrance. Guests should discuss allergies, pregnancy, injuries or relevant medical concerns before treatment so the team can confirm whether an appointment is suitable.

Thermal circuit

A compact thermal sequence includes a warm pool, steam room, dry sauna, experience shower and quiet loungers. The circuit is intended for measured use rather than endurance. Guests are encouraged to hydrate, take breaks and avoid heat facilities when unwell, intoxicated or advised against them by a medical professional. Opening times and age restrictions may differ from the main resort. Swimwear, footwear and conduct requirements are communicated at entry to protect comfort and hygiene for everyone using the space.

Courtyard pool

The sheltered courtyard pool is framed by olive planting, textured stone and deep seating. Daytime service focuses on chilled drinks, fruit, salads and simple grilled dishes. The pool is not presented as a party venue; music remains controlled and the layout preserves space for reading, conversation and rest. Loungers are allocated according to capacity, and unattended belongings may be moved after a published period so that the area remains fair and usable for all registered guests.

Morning movement

Selected mornings may offer guided stretching, low-impact mobility sessions or walks along the landscaped river path. These activities are optional and are not a substitute for medical treatment or individual fitness advice. Guests should choose a level appropriate to their condition and inform the instructor of relevant limitations. The intention is simple: create a calm beginning to the day before breakfast, travel, meetings or another evening in the resort.

Private Events

Gatherings with a sense of place rather than a generic ballroom

Harvest Anchor can support selected celebrations, business dinners, creative launches and hosted group stays through a collection of rooms that retain the resort’s vineyard-and-quay identity.

The Granary Hall

The largest event room can be divided into two sections and configured for seated dinners, presentations, receptions or performances. Timber fins, warm metal and adjustable lighting allow the room to change mood without covering its architecture. Event proposals set out capacity, catering, technical requirements, access times and cancellation conditions clearly. Decorations, external suppliers and entertainment must be approved in advance to protect safety, acoustics and neighbouring guest areas.

Hosted itineraries

Groups may combine accommodation, private dining, theatre seats, spa appointments and supervised casino introductions into a structured itinerary. Gaming participation is always optional, subject to age and identity checks, and should never be positioned as a financial opportunity. Dedicated coordinators can help sequence arrival, meals and entertainment so the programme feels relaxed rather than overfilled. Final arrangements depend on availability, venue rules and the needs of other resort guests.

“Harvest Anchor is designed around abundance and balance: a richly social evening, grounded by spaces that feel calm, warm and beautifully resolved.”
